| Tampa Bay Artist James Woodfield Spruill A multi-media visual artist who has called St Petersburg home for fifteen years, I keep myself occupied and others, both young and old,entertained creating many diverse art projects .Attention to detail and love of tradition are the hallmarks of my style ,whether it be a Florida landscape or a kid's mural ,portrait on canvas or faux finishes and murals in local homes,businesses,schools or religious institutions. Not content with only painting, I have also fairly mastered the application of techniques in two other mediums: stained glass and tile mosaic.Trained as a painter at Virginia Commonwealth University under Russian classicist painter Stefan Unguryanov in the eighties,I have since then worked in many fields always utilizing color and design. I also have had had the opportunity of traveling a bit ,studying the works of primarily the old masters in many of the world's great art museums and experimented with many different mediums ,expanding my skill set . Now married to a terrific woman and a father of three boys I am settled firmly in St Petersburg. I offer my artistic services to my friends in the Tampa Bay area.
